16/02/2013 - Battery box!

I decided like many others before me to opt for the Odyssey PC680 battery.  Van's do a kit for it which I bought with the fuselage kit, years earlier.  I also decided the battery box would sport the optional lightening holes.

A Starret 2" HSS hole cutter and the pillar drill did the business.

Then the other side, 4 holes in total

The retaining strap was fun to do, again sporting lightening holes.

A couple of spacers and some dimpling with the pneumatic squeezer and its ready for some paint

Well the whole lot will be acid stripped before being powder coated with a new colour.
